More on our designers….

Alice Beasley

Alice has been in the flower industry for nearly ten years and has always had a love of Australian natives.  Keen to work with her hands and create beauty, Alice studied floristry at TAFE followed by a stint in England working on flower farms and attending floral design workshops. She returned to Australia a committed florist, working primarily on events and weddings.  Upon joining Bess Paddington, her appreciation of wildflowers has come to the fore.  She works daily with the stunning variety of native and South African blooms available and has developed a reputation as an expert in floral design incorporating wildflowers.

Du Thuan Bui

Duc Thuan Bui is a Sydney-based florist who has a great passion for floral design. He has been actively working in the flower industry for the past 10 years, during which he has achieved a number of awards and credentials. In 2024, Duc collaborated with his mentor, Jeff Smith, and won the RAS Floral Designer Competition at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.  He has recently obtained the formal training of the International Master Florist qualification in Holland. This reflects ability to create elaborate floral designs which showcase a range of textures, advanced techniques and creativity.

Duc is currently a teacher at Pearsons School of Floristry where he instructs over 120 students a year.  Duc is passionate about education as means of sharing this skills with so many budding florists.
