WFA Market Development opportunities

Recent events supported
WFA has participated in a number of Australian and international flower shows and trade shows since 2007, aiming to raise the profile of Australian grown wildflowers and connect individual WFA members with important business and industry contacts. These have included the following events:

* Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show, Melbourne, Australia – consumer show
* Hortiflorexpo, Beijing, China – trade show
* Tokyo International Flower and Garden Show Tokyo, Japan – trade show
* WFA National Wildflower Conference 2010 – national industry conference
* International Flower Exhibition 2010, Makuhari Messe, Tokyo Japan – trade show
* 2010 Taipei International Gardening and Horticulture Exposition, Taipei, Taiwan – consumer show

This will give you an idea of the wide range of activities available for members to support, giving them the opportunity to travel to overseas markets and develop new business contacts.

When enough businesses are prepared to participate in a particular event, WFA can submit a funding proposal to assist in supporting the participants.

WFA members should consider attending at least one event per year.

Work with your agent/exporter and help them to achieve better results for you by identifying more leads, converting leads to customers, increasing sales per customer, learn more about the requirements of customers and learn more about the links in the supply chain.

Participating in any of these events will help to develop the market for Australian Grown wildflowers and help you to develop products that meet the needs of your customers.
